Font Friday, Fully Blocked

Denise Lush is showing how she creates fonts that she uses in her art journals. She will be teaching a new font every month. #fontfriday #deniselush #denisefontfriday

I love adding hand lettered quotes to my collage pages! I think it adds a really nice touch and finishes off the page.

I am back with another Font Friday.

Many of you thought I was going to do a new font every single Friday. Sorry to disappoint but, no. I’m afraid of running out with it only being once a month!

Last month we did a font I called Partially Blocked, so I thought it only fitting that this month we would do one called Fully Blocked!

Can’t help it. That’s what I think of when I hear Fully Blocked. lol

This is another font that won’t take too long to get use to. It’s also a good one to have some fun with! You can change it up by the way you color it in and by adding things like polka dots inside the letters.

I use it a lot in my quotes, especially when I really want to emphasize a word.

Here are some examples of how I have used it in my collage journals.

You can see in the image below the font I will be showing you in the tutorial.

You can find free printable worksheets online. I just googled ‘free lined practice sheets’ and chose one I liked. You can also just use plain or lined paper that you already have at home! You don’t need anything special.

I think this is another great font for starting out and will be one you turn to often.

Go watch the video, then practice and try using it on your next journal page. Once you get use to it, have fun playing around and change it up!
